MUMBAI: The police on Monday announced the launch of `Abhedya Mumbai', a campaign to commemorate and honour the lives lost in the 26/11 attack. The event took place at the Mumbai police gymkhana in Marine Lines and was attended by police commissioner D Sivanandan and artists like Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Sonu Nigam among others.

The police have taken a lot of trouble to improve security arrangements so that another 26/11 type attack does not take place. Quick Response Teams located in all five zones comprise policemen trained in using state-of-the-art weaponry, who respond to threat calls within minutes,'' said D Sivanandan.
